I had season tickets to the Brass, and had a great time whenever the Icegators came to town. They would bring a bunch of fans, who would always sit in my section. Used to talk and joke with them all the time.
You could tell after a couple of years it wasn't the same. The 'gators wen from bringing a few hundred fans to a handful.
It was the beginning of the end for hockey in this region.
Oh, and without question, the best promotion ever was weiner dog races at the intermission of the Brass games. Loved it.

If you go and look at the record books of the echl the icegators were one of the best franchises of all time. i had season tickets from year 1 to year 10 those games were fun. Still remember the team fight with the kingfish

I was a kingfish fan, knew some of the players personally, but I was really young so I can't remember their names, one I remember was josh hamlet or something like that, dude got in fights nonstop, I think he got in trouble with steriods a few years back
and my cousin married a former ice gator, he's a nice guy

I actually worked for the kingfish as an intern while at LSU. All I had to do was participate in the promotions and write a paper at the end. It was good for 6 hours of marketing credit. It was actually pretty fun most of the time.

if i would have known the rules of hockey more, i would have probably enjoyed it more.
When they first started, the Mudbugs did a pretty good job of educating the people of S'port/Bossier on hockey rules. I think it helped on attendance.

Man I miss the Kingfish..I use to always go to games. I was there every time they would lose the series ending playoff game at home.
I think it was against mobile when we lost in OT and I had the "Seat of the House" to end the season. Bummer.

My friends family were season ticket holders for every Icegator season. We only missed like 10 games the whole run. It was awesome. Of course i loved hockey so that had alot to do with it.
