How many people around the country you think logged onto the 3 to watch Nicholls vs. Louisiana?

When we were SMSU and switching to SMS we sent out releases and in every guide or press release that said
We areSouthwest Missouri State and it's abbreviated SMS we ARE NOT
SW Mizzou
SW Mo
SWM
SWMSU
Southwest
It was sad our SID had to do it. But Alford demanded it and CBS and ESPN obliged the Post and Star would occasionally revert back

no more relevant than the 5 wins you're touting over ULM?

newsflash, Lafayette sucks too.
You've been mediocre for a couple of years, you'll slip back down into oblivion soon enough. You should probably try and play McNeese a couple of times before that happens and close that gap that we hold over in the all-time series record.

a yearly series =/= a game that has rarely been played in recent times

Lafayette is about as good as it gets outside of New Orleans in this shithole state. Lake Charles is an abortion of a college town. Enjoy your Darrell's sandwhich I guess.

Perhaps people shouldn't care what ULL calls its athletic teams...that's a good point. Personally, I don't care.
But many do. And it is the name of our state that they are using, and we do finance that school, including, specifically, the athletic program, so for better or worse, it's up to the citizens of the state to decide.
As a taxpayer, I have no objection to calling the sports teams "Louisiana" and would vote "yes" if it went to a statewide referendum.

yeah, it's been played rarely cause you were tired of us kicking your arse, so it's better for you to just not play.
Big 12 is never gonna bring a team that gets beat consistently by an FCS school, are they?

doubt it. enjoy your oil industries along i-90?

neither LC nor Lafayette are "college towns"....LC is a plant worker haven, and Lafayette is an off-shore worker haven.
and I like Darrels, but I think it's overrated.

You obviously have no clue who you're talking to. I'm the complete opposite of that Big 12 pipe dream idiocy. Save your flames for someone who will bite. Thanks.

So let me get this straight... A ULL fan starts a thread on an LSU board and when they respond all you can talk about is how they actually care about ULL ???!!!!?????
