I like the ones who are jyst up in arms that people even suggestef it could be a slur.
No one has said it wad but there is a team in the thread not only acting like thats whayt everyone is saying and defending smart but acting like a slur had never been used at a sporting event

Materazzi is one of the dirtiest players of all time. But all he said to Zidane was "if you want my shirt that badly, just ask your sister from last night".
To me, that's pretty damn mild. For anyone who is confused, Zidane was grabbing his shirt while jumping for a header.

Nothing racial was ever said though and even Zidane said that. The mother part makes it worse but I am surprised it got such a major reaction. I imagine the stars hear that type of shite every game.

I don't care if it was about race and I don't care that Smart pushed him. If it was about race someone other than Smart should have said something to the guy or hit/pushed him. Random note: I am in Boston today. After the Duke game, we are at a decently nice sports bar and this guy comes within inches of my face and tries to fight me twice in 5 minutes. Then he comes and chugs my beer, throws the glass on the floor, and as the bouncer comes over, his mom or aunt drags him out of the bar. Everyone around me, besides the bouncer was too bewildered to react to the situation. Hell even the bouncer was confused.
For the sake of humanity, hopefully he will OD soon
