no, they played the OSU play by play announcer saying that he overheard Smart say it to the coach. ESPN wants to put it out there without themselves saying it.

Easy solution to this situation. Suspend fan and player for equal time.
I don't believe fans should personally interact with players in a negative manner. This guy knew exactly what he was doing. His wife acted like a little tattle tail bitch. Eject her too.
Players should also avoid negative interaction with fans. I'm more understanding of the player as he is in a emotionally heated contest.

Even if the fan did call him a n****r, Smart has still got to control himself. I think the fan and Smart should be suspended.
