Stuttering John or any of the Stern idiots from back in the day would have fun with him if all he gave was the same repetitive answer.

i used to laugh at it but now i feel bad for him. dude just wants to be left alone. i wouldn't be surprised if he files a lawsuit down the road for mental anguish or something along those lines (no lawyer here obviously).

If he wanted to be left alone he would give answers. He wasn't at a podium he was in front of his locker.

All he had to do is answer 1 and excuse himself. This is perfect example of Attention Seeking Behaviors.

So he wins Super Bowl MVP and is up on the stage for the post game celebration. Mike Tirico (or whoever) presents him with the SB MVP trophy & interviews him on national tv. Does this douche dodge all questions on this stage as well? What a child.

Gotta tell you. I get the impression there's a lot more to it for him.

He seems REALLY uncomfortable with cameras. He almost looked near tears to me.

There's something that drives his avoidance of the media and he aint telling us. But, it seems to be pretty substantial so I aint throwing darts.

I don't understand why the media doesn't play along...

Instead of asking him serious questions, why not ask him What he is thankful for?

Or if he was thankful when he hit a drunk lady in Buffalo?

Because the Seahawks organization would back their player and likely suspend the reporter/publication from interviews. Or, at the least, limit their access.

I bet you think women who ask you to leave them alone and say they are not interested are just playing hard to get.

Russel Wilson. Its like he read "coach & qb speak for dummies" and it was a life changing moment for him.

He's just excited for the opportunity and welcomes the challenge, working hard every day to become a better player and teammate and taking it one game at a time.

I've no idea why it is somehow accepted dogma that if one plays football, they MUST talk to the media.

Is there really some fear that if they don't force them, none of these guys are going to talk?

Seems to me, there's no shortage of players willing to talk. He's a football player, not an interview personality.

Because it's part of their contract. I pay you money, you play football and cooperate with the media.

It's not dogma, it's a contractual obligation collectively bargained by the NFL and the NFLPA.
