the throw was fine

LOL WUT

that was a shitty throw. that receiver was perfectly open and he made him have to go to the ground to get it.

The clock doesn't stop until the official either gives the clock stop signal, or the incomplete pass signal.

they should of emphasized reviewing the clock instead of the catch.. there was clearly an entire second on the clock.. seems like they always do this in football.. jus kinda let that last second drop off..

It would have been totally unfair to put a second back on the clock after Miami was celebrating. If FSU realy wanted that second they wouldn't
have rolled ponder out

But, again, was there a second left on the actual game clock? The referee himself said time expired when he gave his review decision. They were clearly looking at the time as well.

So a football game is up to a referee's reaction time?

Unfortuantely yes. The guy running the clock is not watching the play, he's watching for signals. Or well that's what I was told to do when running the clock for high school games. I don't know what the rule is with replay and whether or not they can add time if no signal was given.

One of the best ones in recent memory. Let's not engage in 2009 superbowl-esque hyperbole though.

Awesome fricking game.

Both of these teams are still pretty damn talented. Neither have the defenses that they used to, but they have tons of athletes.

Graig Cooper is beast. Harris and Ponder look like the best quarterbacks at their schools since Dorsey and Weinke.

One of these teams should win the ACC. Hopefully it's Miami. I'd like to see Shannon do well. He's a good guy.

Hell of a game. There were some good moments on defense but mostly offense. Receivers were WIDE open all game on both sides. There were some good stops on running plays but also some long runs. Ponder is quick with his feet and very accurate except for when it counted most. I know he's got a history of INT's and I thought he might throw one there at the end. His pass was too low but catchable. Harris was very accurate and made some pretty amazing throws, especially that last one right before the TD; on the money! There were some serious skill players on both teams. And it seems both teams utilized their entire teams in this effort. Almost a shame someone had to lose but a great win for Miami to come back in this game and do it in Tallahassee. If Bradford isn't back, Miami may put a whipping on Oklahoma. I think Florida State will tear BYU up with their speed. Best game Fla. State and Miami have played in a long, long time. Thanks for the entertainment!!
