The patriots are actually 2nd in revenue IIRC and are #2 in Forbes value at like 2.6 billion, so while the Cowboys have more revenue it's not a massive gap
I am talking about the willingness to spend which is more determined by the leadership.
And the only reason the Patriots have those kind of revenues is because they have kept Tom all this time and had great success with him. With a MLB model the Yanke...Cowboys would have stolen him a decade ago and the Patriots would just be another Bills basically.

I would argue that a star qb has more impact on his teams success than even the best MLB player so it's not like Alex was worth more to the Rangers than Andrew to the colts
Baseball and it's stars are much more Regional than other sports due to the tv deals. Here in Texas, I may see Bryce Harper play four times a year on Sunday Night Baseball, compared to the 12 times I see Tom Brady play a nationally televised football game.

If NFL players want what MLB and NHL players have then they need to cohesively force it and be prepared to miss a few paychecks to get it done.

I MUCH MUCH prefer the NFL system. The lack of parity in the MLB is garbage.

So one less with two less teams in the league?
hmmm..
Ok I admit I am wrong.

The fact that the White Sox and Marlins have won World Series easily makes the MLB the league with the most parity automatically.

I would suggest that the fact that the NFL is as popular as it is (see revenue) is indicative that the NFL has it right.

That has more to do with every game meaning so much, gambling + fantasy football and their ability to market 24/7, more interesting personalities and less to do with economic systems

Do you even watch MLB? Obviously not. Parity is at an all time high. I hate when people make uneducated, asinine comments.

ing about that in my post. I'm just illustrating how even when taking into account roster size, top NFL players are getting " shortchanged" while because of a lack of salary cap, MLB players can keep pushing their values up
Mlb players play 10x more games, and regular season lasts half of a year, think they earn that difference in time alone

I admitted when I was wrong when shown the facts. I don't know what else you want from me.

MLB has more parity than the NFL

I missed it. Im sorry, on the contrary to my earlier post it is not when someone admits they were wrong.

It is hard to be this wrong. I thought about starting a thread this morning discussing parity in MLB because as I was driving in to work the radio was discussing the Blue Jays being a few games back of the Orioles for 1st place in the AL East - a division with the NY Yankees and the Boston Red Sox.
The Royals have won a WS. The Marlins have won 2 WS.
12 of the 32 NFL teams haven't made the playoffs in 3 years or more. Only 9 of the 30 MLB teams have missed the playoffs for 3 years or more, and this in a league where 2 less teams make the playoffs every year than the NFL.
ETA: I see you've backed off that statement. You were wrong about the parity, but it has little to do with the open cap structure and everything to do with the game of baseball in general.
In the NFL, an open cap would be a disaster IMO.
