Greinke is a true number one.

You can count legit MLB number one SP's on two hands, imo.

But you have to give me something more than that...what's so compelling about acquiring him?

So your argument is he's had anxiety issues in the past, so you wouldn't touch him? Correct?

Yes...and the fact that he pitches in a weak hitting division. He's going to be facing the Yanks, Angels, etc...

If he was a number one why was he so shitty on the road last year....and why wasn't he dominant in the playoffs?

Do all you do is bitch and moan about shite I post?

I say something that an editor of Baseball Prospectus said, and you act like it was something idiotic.

So which part are you arguing:

Greinke is a legit ace
or
There are 10 or fewer legit aces in baseball

Legit #1's/aces in baseball
Strasburg
Gonzalez
Dickey
Hamels
Greinke
Kershaw
Cain
Sabathia
Price
Sale
Verlander
Weaver
Hernandez

ETA: I'm not talking the ace of a staff. I'm talking the guys that are legit number one's in the game of baseball.

Team by Team...

NL East
Washington - Gonzalez + Strasburg
Miami - Josh Johnson would have been if not for injury. He's borderline currently.
Philadelphia Hamels. Lee was in previous years. Halladay's been hurt.
New York - Dickey
Atlanta - none. Bunch of strong 2's/3's

NL Central
Pittsburgh - none
Houston - none
Chicago - none. Dempster and Garza are both strong 2's. Shark has ace potential in future.
Cincinatti - Cueto is a borderline guy for me
St. Louis - Carpenter + Wainwright were pre-injury. Linn is a strong 2.
Milawauke - Greinke. Gallardo has ace potential

NL West
Arizona - none
Los Angeles - Kershaw
San Diego - none
Colorado - no one close
San Francisco - Cain. Lincecum pre this year.

AL East
Tampa Bay - Price. Shields a strong 2.
Boston - none. Guys with ace stuff though.
Toronto - none
Baltimore - no one close
New York - Sabathia

AL Central
Kansas City - no one close
Cleveland - none. Ubaldo at one time was.
Chicago - Sale
Detroit - Verlander
Minnesota - no one close

AL West
Los Angeles - Weaver. Strong 2's behind him
Oakland - bunch of good, young arms with potential
Texas - Darvish/Harrison strong 2's
Seattle - Hernandez

I asked you who said Vitters wasn't an everyday MLB 3B

Legit ace being the best pitcher on a team, sure.

But mentioning him in the same breath as the "legit ace" pitchers you can name on two hands? No.

His career ERA is approaching 4. In 9 years, he has only sniffed the Cy Young the year he won it.

You're putting him in the same category as Verlander, Felix, Strasburg, Weaver, Halladay, Kershaw etc and Im not sure why. His Cy Young year was lights out, but that's about it.

Whatever, man.

No matter what I post, you'll find a way to bitch about. We all have opinions. No need to flame me for mine.

Im not flaming you. I wasn't sure if you were trolling again or being serious.

Once I cleared that up, I posted a retort to your argument that Greinke belonged in the top tier of SPs in the MLB. Difference of opinion makes tigerdroppings go round. I was just trying to figure out why you viewed him as such an elite pitcher.
