Is the season a success for the Mets....

First place in the division until the last 6 Gamez, blew a 10.5 game lead, 1st round playoff exit

If I were a Mets fan I would say no baseball is about getting hot at the right time, the Mets are clearly not hot at the right time. 101 wins don't matter if you don't do anything in the playoffs.

This season is the ultimate lolmets season. Celebrated a division title in May just to be bounced in the wild card round.

They went from 77 to 101 wins- success
They blew a 10.5 game lead- failure
They were swept by the Cubs and Braves to lose division- failure
Lost in the 1st round with 2 Hall of Famers- failure

I mean we have the biggest cash payroll in MLB, so it stings to go down like this

I guess making the playoffs is good news, but if it ends tonight it is a huge letdown

I dont think they really blew a 10.5 game lead, the Mets were a .607 ball club from Aug 1.
from April to july 31 they were .634

the braves were a .661 ball club from Aug 1
they were .597 from April to july 31 with two sub .500 months

I think the braves were the better team that got their act together in june and continued to roll

I'm a braves fan, yes, but I'm just speaking facts. These loser Mets fans celebrated a division title in May, ended up in 2nd place, and now are 6 outs away from being bounced in the pre-playoffs.

Absolutely, I don't think the Mets necessarily choked the division, but losing this series is inexcusable if you want to compete for titles.

Mets were swept by the Cubs and lost 2/3 to the Nationals in September.... go 3-3 or even 2-4 then the Braves are playing the Padres

You’re being too kind. They absolutely choked it away.

mets were still in first after the cubs series
then won 6 in a row, 7/10

didnt lose the lead until two weeks later at atlanta with 5 games left
