Stockton- ZERO
cousy, i dont know
Nash's peak and career will never match Stockton's. The fact that John never won an MVP is because he didn't ever score a whole lot of points (though his career avg is only like a point off Nash's).
Stockton was a better passer.
Stockton was much clutch.
Stockton could play defense.

but MVP is the MVP. Thats a pretty big honor, and to win it back to back is pretty damn outstanding.
not really. many consider it a travesty that nash won a single mvp. the best player rarely wins the
the mvp is voted on by members of the media. nash was right player, right time, and the first american looks like me guy to succeed in a decade, playing for a team that played drastically different basketball than the rest of the league. nash made for a great story- and history has shown that his assist numbers were hyper inflated by playing in the d'antoni system.
his per in his MVP seasons is behind that of CP3 in the past 3 seasons.
(in other words, his mvps were all hype)
Not to mention that Nash's run of the spectacular was only a run of 4-5 years. Cousy led the league in assists 10 years in a row.
Throw in the championships (something Nash has never had a stake in). Cousy has an MVP himself,
And I'll give the nod to cousy.

we had this conversation like 3 weeks ago where retards could not believe that he was Italian because he is from Argentina. You, apparently, are one of the retards.

Like many Argentines, Ginóbili is a descendant of Italian immigrants, and he has dual citizenship with Argentina and Italy

one of the best passers and shooters of all time.

I can believe he has Italian roots
I just know when you look at his player Bio it says he's argentinian. And when he plays in the Olumpics he plays on the Argentenian team.
Those two factors drive me to believe he feels he is Argentinian. And thats good enough for me.

dunno. i mean if both of his parents are italian, than he'd probably be considered white if he was in america.
Posted on 3/4/09 at 5:07 pm to PortCityTiger24
why not?
his last name obviously has latin roots. argentina and brazil both have huge italian populations.
some people are just uneducated I suppose.

Over McHale? wow.
Pettit = all star all 11 years he played, all NBA first team 10 times (2nd team the other year), 2 time MVP, scored 50 on the Celtics in the clinching game 6 to win the NBA finals
McHale = part-time starter on his own team

Jim McIlvane
Travis Knight
Danny Ferry
Cherokee Parks
Bobby Hurley
Eric Montross
Christian Laettner
I probably go 0-82 with this as my all-white rotation, with Laettner & Ferry as my star players.
/thread...my team is the worst.

Tom Chambers definitely belongs on that list, brah. And what about Dirk?
Also, I would say that both Stockton and Pistol Pete were better than Nash over the course of their careers.
Nash was like the Danny Wuerffell of NBA Top 10 Point Guards.

I am shocked that no one has mentioned Jerry Lucas. Half of the guys mentioned in this thread couldn't carry his jock.
