It is the only game you can honestly throw out the records
That hasn't really been the case recently.

no offense to our servicemen, but this is the most overhyped game every year
It is easily the most intense rivalry in college sports. "Go Army" is always followed by "Beat Navy" and vice versa for Navy, 365 days a year. It's unbelievable.
While neither team is ever talented, it deserves the respect it gets.

PJ I have to agree with you on this one. My grandfathers were WWII Army Vets and two of my uncles were Marines. This game was always big time in my house. I'm an Army vet and this game is very much a rivalry for me. I've been to two Army/Navy games. Once your there you forget that neither teams are competitve outside this game. If a WNBA game means more to you than this storied rivalry, you live a pretty sad life. I suggest any football fan make it to at least one of these games in there lifetime.
GEAUX ARMY-BEAT NAVY

What the hell are you talking about?

I have 4 friends at the Naval Academy, including 1 in the company that runs the game ball to the stadium from Annapolis, so I'm pretty sure I have a good understanding of the passion involved in the game.
All I said was that it's recently been the case that the team with the better record has won convincingly. It doesn't mean that either team plays with any less passion. Upsets happen in other college football games about the same amount as in this one, so it's a stupid phrase to use unless you think it applies to every game.
Saying this is college football's greatest rivalry and saying the records can be thrown out the window are two completely different things.

Both these teams can be 0-11 and this game would still mean everything to both teams. This game means more than any bowl game to both teams. You can't say that about any other rivalry in college football.

I went three years ago to the game in Philly. My brother was a Midshipmen. The atmosphere was amazing. Air Force one flew over about and hour before the game and came really close to the stadium. It was awesome seeing that big arse jet do a flyby. The Cadets and Midshipmen marching on the field was pretty cool too. The best part was when Navy ran out about 8 F18 SuperHornets did a flyby and when Army ran out about 10 Apaches flew over. I've seen several fly overs but these three were awesome. The F18s and the Apaches were unbelievably low and loud.

For all you folks who don't think much of this game.....you are ignorant or just plain stupid.....go ahead and watch the WNBA or any other sporting event.....these guys are heros....actually all of them carry a real academic load and graduate from two of the top schools in the country......Oh did I mention that they also defend the freedom you enjoy- Great players these men are not.....great people they are...the future leaders of your military and of you country.
Yes I'll be there for the 18th time...screaming for the cadets
Go Army Beat Navy
