Based on what? You can't directly compare him to big men of the past 20 or 30 years.
But I can.
Based on their own eras, Wilt was the greatest player of all-time. He changed the game in a way that no other player ever has. And he was dominant in every sense of the word.
But centers like Shaq, Olajuwon, etc. would have dominated the time that Wilt played even more so than Wilt did IMO. Wilt wasn't that skilled offensively. There was just no such thing as post defense. Shaq would have scored 100 points a game back then, because guys weren't even allowed to touch in the post. Not even a forearm to the back.
Now, you may judge players differently. I think most of the best players are from the last 30 years as opposed to the first 30 years of the NBA. Guys are more athletic and more skilled. Most say that if Wilt had all of the workout/training advantages that players have today, he would have been simply insane. This may be true, but I don't look at it that way.
Everyone judges these things differently. It's a great debate with a bunch of different sides. This is just how I look at it.

Yes I did and I happen to remember Gasol being soft as shite on several occasions throughout the playoffs

Or the playoffs in general. Gasol won the OKC series.

I just don't want to discount the early years of the NBA because things have evovled so much.
