what were they going to do with $1M in cap room?

I have absolutely no idea where this number is coming from.

Pistons have $7.3 million remaining in cap space, factoring in Monroe's cap hold and the Meeks signing. This does not factor in the Cartier Martin signing, which is likely at or near the league minimum.

The Warriors' deal with Shaun Livingston will be three years, $16 million, league source tells Yahoo Sports.

I like this a lot for Golden State. They can let Steph play off the ball.

• The Washington Wizards and center Marcin Gortat have verbally agreed to a five-year, $60 million deal, according to both Michael Lee of the Washington Post and Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo Sports. John Wall also confirmed the signing.

It's roughly the difference between what Meeks signed for and the MLE.

Yes. There was talk that the MLE would not be enough to get him. I assume that's Golden State's full MLE, right?

ETA: It is, as RTR said

Pau probably called Pat Riley just to cheer him up, because Pau is so nice and legitimately concerned about the Heat.
