Gordon used to be one of my favorite players

Ben Gordon just basically checked out two straight seasons, team that values high character more than almost anyone forks over $9M. Weird.

The Sixers and Rockets are engaged in "fluid trade talks" about Jeremy Lin, according to Jake Fischer of LibertyBallers.com
It's been reported that the Rockets have a deal in place to unload Lin's contract if Carmelo Anthony agrees to join them, so it's possible that the Sixers are the team on the other end of that deal. A move to Philly wouldn't be the worst thing for Lin's fantasy value, if it happens, since the Sixers' need a SG and they have no veterans in the backcourt.

If Ben Gordon is getting 4.5M per year, what will DJ Augustine and Kyle Lowry get?

Chandler Parsons is licking his chops.

I'm confused about all of this Gordon Hayward and max offer talk.
Posted on 7/2/14 at 1:08 pm to hoopsgalore
I doubt it's really a max offer... but a really large one. I mean, he was going to net at least 12-13 a year on the open market. If Cleveland wants to sign good free agents, they're going to have to overpay. The price of Cleveland being a craphole.

He's a restricted free agent. Have to make sure your offer is high enough and hope that Utah won't match it.

Looks like Cleveland is willing to give Hayward around 15 mill. Dont know how i feel about this. Hayward had a very solid season averaging 16 ppg. He is young and talented. A good young core of Irving, Wiggins, Hayward, Waiters and Thompson with the new offensive minded coach should help Cleveland improve. Sounds like Cleveland is high on Greg Monroe as well. We will see...

I wouldn't be surprised if Tristan and Dion are used in a sign and trade deal..

A sign-and-trade deal involving Josh Smith and Isaiah Thomas "may be in the works," according to Grantland.com.
The Pistons are believed to be interested in signing the restricted free agent while Greg Monroe reportedly wants to see Smith get traded. The Smith signing did not go well and the Pistons weren't a very efficient offense while their defense wasn't great either.

Why are the Kings so fine with getting rid of Thomas? Who is their point guard?

His size puts them at a big disadvantage defensively if I had to guess. With all the scorers on the team, they probably want a better ball distributor as well. They're also pretty high on McCallum.
