called it when they called the holding penalty on KC . I knew mahomes was gonna chuck it get a PI and they would kick a FG ....lame arse fricking trash league
So, which is worse: a (supposedly) unfair PI call on 4th and 16, or everybody and their sister KNOWING that Mahomes was going to go deep and not telling your players NO PI before the play?
Personally, I fault the Bengals for their loss for the same reason the Eagles deserved to lose to Atlanta: stupid coaching decisions at the most critical part of the game.
Like it or not, the defender arrived early on the Chief's receiver. You can say he was going for the ball, but how does that argument hold water when his face mask is buried in the neck of the receiver before the ball arrives? Just because his arms were outstretched doesn't mean he was trying to make a catch.

It’s just an example of how very pro offense the NFL and football is at this point. Overthrown and underthown balls are actually weapons because they draw penalties rather than perfectly placed passes that are dropped or broken up.
While I think the refs got the call right, I also agree with the above statement.
The NFL made a very conscious and deliberate decision to enhance offensive playmaking a while back because defensive battles are boring - and lose viewers. So they decided to make the games more "interesting" by juicing up the offenses and tamping down on defenses.
That's just a fact.
So, yeah, two things can be true at once: the NFL has intentionally made it harder for defenders to play receivers AND that the defender in this play violated the rules as they exist at this point and time.

I saw that overturned Int stat and thought it could seriously use some context.

Stupid to rush only 3. That never works.
"prevent defense" is an oxymoron if I have ever heard one.

I’ve never agreed with this assumption, at least not 100%
I’ve watched football my whole life and not once have I turned on a game because the teams were lighting up the scoreboard. On the flip side, I have found myself on many different occasions tuning in to a close game with good defenses in the 4th quarter..
I know I’m only one person, but I’d guess that other people feel the same way

I don't disagree with you, but the NFL actually justified rule changes favoring offense for exactly the reasons I stated.
You don't have to like or agree with them (I don't, either, FWIW), but that doesn't change the facts around why the rules were changed.

Not to mention schedule
They had the first game and extra time off before bengals now they play falcons who had to play Monday night who will be on a short week

I think this might be the game where Kelce breaks out of his slump. Atlanta was having problems stopping the run against the iggles, and had Philly decided to run in stead of pass to Barkley the game might have gone differently.
If KC can find some kind of running game while sending Worthy screaming down the sidelines that might open up the middle of the field for Kelce and Noah Gray (sp?).
Interested to see if Hunt gets to play this weekend as well.

Maybe you should look at the Chiefs entire schedule before offering an ignorant opinion.

You're feeding the troll by asking him to have a logical position instead of indulging in the fantasy "but the refs cheat for the Chiefs!" delusion.
Don't feed the trolls.

How crazy would it be for Hunt to be released from the Chiefs 6-7 years ago only to return and win a ring?
