It really cannot be overstated how fricking good McFarland and Sakic are. This team is DEEP and far from healthy.
There are going to be some tough decisions by Bedsy when LOC and Girard are back.

This Avalanche team is truly ridiculously good.
Wedgewood is the best goalie in the league right now.
We still aren’t healthy at all, and yet are 13-1-5.
Obviously very early in the season, but this team (and seemingly an extended window with our young guys performing/getting extended) is insane.

Im trying to figure out what the frick we’d do with our lines when healthy.
1: Lehky - MacK - Marty
2: Colton - Nelson - Chu
3: Landy - Drury - Brindley?
4: Kivi/LOC/Olofsson in some combo?
WTF do we do with Kelly who deserves to be there too?!
The Avs are going to have some crazy in game line adjustment potential with special teams and line combos. And likely will have some good trading pieces (Girard? Kivi?) to boost the team even more while freeing up cap space.

The East standings are absolutely insane - it's still early in the season but I've never seen things so packed
The Metro is only 6pts from last to first, the Atlantic is only 7pts from last to first
Either NJ or Carolina (probably Carolina bc of NJ injuries) will end up running away with Metro but Atlantic is wide open
And as usual the top two best teams in the entire league are in the Central division. Any other year, the Avs early run would put them 10pts clear but nope Dallas is also playing amazing and only 4pts behind.

Insanity. Oh you think we just outscore you- well how about back to back road shutouts in 24 hours. And they are doing it without even having their power play humming. Look out when they get that right.
