Friedman is saying CBJ might be in the Karlsson mix. Would be interesting to see what this deal would require.

Rumor is Sens want a package centered around Heiskanen while Dallas wants Honka to headline the deal.

As long as Heiskanen and Nichuskin aren't in, they can have at the farm. Also would hope an extension is a part of the deal

Throw Benn-Seguin-Rads-Karlsson-Klingberg with Bishop in net, that's damn solid

I love this scenario. But we cannot give up Miro before he ever steps foot on Dallas ice. Throw Honka and a shitload of picks at them and get this done. Spezza is off the books next year at this time so hopefully we can sign Segs and Karlsson long term.

If I'm Nill, I stick with Honka as the centerpiece. I keep seeing Honka, Gurianov a first and a third being rumored as the potential package, which I would be more than fine with

With Jones/Werenski, I really don't know why CBJ would be in the Karlsson sweepstakes, unless the price was reasonable (which if it was, the CBJ offer would likely get beat by some other team).

Doesn’t really make sense to me either.

I assumed it involved the Panarin speculation as well.

Yeah, but Panarin wouldn't make sense for them. Unless it was a three-way deal with Karlsson going to CBJ, Panarin going elsewhere and other assets going to OTT. And I don't know how much sense that'd make for us, since we're strong on D and weaker offensively UNLESS you had Karlsson extended when the trade was made, and then maybe deal Werenski for a forward (Nylander?) in another deal or something.

I feel like the best offer I would make would be something like Murray/Savard + Milano/Jenner/Anderson/Bjorkstrand + Foudy/Texier + 2019 1st. And I would only consider that if Karlsson was extended. I don't know if OTT would accept.

I am going to blow a fricking load if we get this Karlsson thing done.

Our first five on the ice would probably be the best in the NHL

Pretty cool story that the Caps equipment guy took the Cup to the Capital Gazette's temporary newsroom after the shooting:

Hell, considering how poorly the Stars have managed Nichuskin, I wouldn't be averse to putting him in the deal for a fresh start. But the Stars are right to protect Heiskanen at all costs. This is Erik friggin' Karlsson... it's gonna cost you something big.

I'm just hoping that was a Lindy Ruff thing and he'll be better utilized this go-around because he's a hell of a player.

Outside of Val and Heiskanen, I would put everything on the prospect list on the table (Honka, Shore, Gurianov, etc.) along with a couple first rounders, because yeah, if you get Karlsson and extend him, get Seguin long term, this team is set. Finally have two competent goalies as well.

Sounds like Dorion is sticking to his guns and if no Heiskanen, then no deal, and seems like Karlsson is Tampa Bay bound now

Sounds like karlsson is the first big piece to fall, once he does, there is an expectation that Toronto and Tampa Bay will be in on Parayako. His contract is super team friendly, especially those with big deals on the roster already.

Blues could fetch a haul for him.

Tampa get karlsson, it slows what could of been a nice bidding war for Dmen.

Personally, I wouldn't mind taking on Ryan as well if Ottawa pays at least a quarter of his remaining contract if that's what it would take to get Karlsson with retaining Heiskanen.

If the Sens can pay that, you can attach a pick on him and ship him elsewhere if need be. You have a chance to acquire and extend the best defenseman in the game.

I don’t get why the Blues would be inclined to move him. If Pietrangelo bolts in 2 years when his deal is up, Parayko will be the anchor of the defense for years to come.

Blues not keeping colton makes no sense.

I’d be really surprised if Armstrong dealt him. Especially after they went all in on O’Reilly, Bozak, and Perron.

Blues sign Patrick Maroon for 1 year.

They've gone from a terribly disappointing team to a contender in the span of 10 days.
