Really like that deal for Vegas on the surface but....
Out: 2018 first-round pick, 2019 second-round pick, 2021 third-round pick, Tomas Tatar, Nick Suzuki and a 2019 second-round pick. Sum total being 2 1sts (or 1 1st and 1 blue chip prospect), 2 2nds, 1 3rd, Tomas Tatar.

yea. montreal is going to be frick-awful this year.
a rebuild was necessary though. chucky-max-weber-price was going nowhere

Good move for both teams. The Habs are awful and going nowhere, and they got max value out of their best asset. Vegas got another piece to compete now and it didn't cost them much in terms of dollar or term. Vegas needs to keep winning to some extent, and Max will help with that.
