but Calathes has that weird set shot that he needs to fix

his %'s were good though. 48 from the field nad nearly 40% from 3.

shite, people forget Shaun Livngston was a lottery pick. Granted it was before his injuries, but still.

NBA loves big guards. I think he's a top 20 lock if he decides to stay

the NBA is obsessed with tall point guards, and they pretty much never work out

Will Levance Fields be drafted as the NBA demand shifts to 5'10" chubby PG's

Maybe the Hornets will draft Calathes, he could be a good backup for CP.

he'd almost positively end up as a combo guard, but thats not really a bad thing

Shaun Livingston was also very fast for a big point guard..His speed wasnt a liability

Calathes is a good college player but he's not great shooter (also has a set shot where he doesnt really jump which isnt goin to be successful in the NBA) and hes not going to break u down (his offense will be limited in the pros). Hes a great passer with great vision but that wont get u in the NBA..The biggest problem is he is a tweener on defense and huge liability in the NBA. He cant guard the speed of the point guards and hes not athletic or strong enough to handle the 2 guards

So maybe a 2nd but he'll back in college next year

if he has 3 point range, he can do this. look at guys like bruce bowen and brent barry.

even if he doesn't now, at this point, scouts will say, "he has teh potential to develop that shot"

so he can end up in the 1st

unless he becomes a great shooter, he won't get that sort of benefit after this year. that's why if he can go 1st round, he needs to gtfo and do it for his own sake. he can only go down.

Well he is Greek. Kind of.

He tried out for the Greek Olympic team. (Which means maybe he's been to Greece.)

if he doesn't get in the 1st round after this year, his odds of going in the 1st go down a bunch

Does Manu Ginobili ring a bell. He does not exactly have a jump shot. Granted Calathes might not be able to drive like Ginaobili yet but I believe has better court vision.

How high is Peja's jumpshot...2"?
