I'm rusty on my horse racing history… have the other Triple Crown winners had similar circumstances? If so, then STFU.

He said other horses in the past have gotten screwed the same way. Wasn't just talking about thisone time

He shouldn't have done "travel racing" with his horse during his younger years and his horse wouldn't have been worn out.

True, but there is a place and time to express this frustration and it wasn't there.

But it will make it all the sweeter when a horse walks these distance specialist's dicks in the dirt. Secretariat wasn't gonna beat short of a jockey on a motorcycle.

Just as the owner said, only the 20 horses that run the Kentucky Derby can run the Preakness. Only horses that run in the Preakness can run the Belmont.

Back in the day when horse racing wasn't as commercial owners would not have held horses out of races. Thus, multiple triple crowns and multiple times there was only 4or so horses left for the Belmont.

I was more tickled at his wife pulling on his belt telling him to calm down. I have had that happen to me more than a few times by my wife.

he has a point but IMHO a champion triple crown horse should be able to beat all of the field no matter the circumstance.

chrome was in position but didnt have what it takes to finish strong.

California Chrome ran a good race today; it is a shame that the owner acted like such an arse after the defeat. Only great horses win the Triple Crown against all comers; the three races have always been run within a seven week period. The guy with the cowboy hat owes racing an apology.

I agree with you. Besides his point is shite because his horse came in 5th place.
