WM will steamroll the top half of the bracket, and any of 5 teams can come out of the bottom half

choupiquesushi, throw me a bone. LOL
jj27, thanks for the knowledge, and you're right about St. Augustine. They're big, fast, nasty physical.
West Jefferson gave Dutchtown fits at Dutchtown, as well. The Buccaneers almost beat them in a massive comeback from, what? 24 or 27 points down?

started a lil office pool for the 5A bracket.
i have West Monroe vs. St. Paul's in the finals.
...with WM winning 27-13
St. Thomas More seemed too obvious, I have St. Paul's sneaked one out against them.
Upsets: Westgate (after what they did to SL last year, I don't doubt those kids...) beating Ponchatoula
and Acadiana beating the coachless East St. John.

You can laugh, but if Paul Turner stays healthy it's true. WM won't have a game closer than 3 touchdowns if he stays healthy. Now if he goes down, it's anyone's title to take. Acadiana doesn't run the right offense to beat WM. You have to throw the ball with quick routes/screens to have a chance. WM isn't going to fumble the ball 8 times this year with Turner in the game. I think ESJ and STM have the best shot outside WM. I'll be in Lafayette this Friday and will go to the STM game. I'll have a better idea after watching that game.
this.....
hey JJ27.... looks like our boys may play a regular season game in a few years...LOL

Mine held back, so he's in 5th grade again this year.

So West Monroe easily beats Pineville, up 41-7 at the half and the USA Today Poll drops them 3 spots.

USA Today has always placed WM lower than all of the other polls. No biggie, it's all hypothetical anyway.

dont let the seedings fool you on this one

Well, based on the seeds alone, Acadiana over ESJ would be an "upset." But anyone that has paid attention this year knows that the Rams are at worst a top-5 team in 5A. I think they roll through ESJ come Friday night.

i was thinking more of the coachless comment. they seemed to play pretty good ball with their interim.

Oh yeah. I was very shocked and highly impressed at how this team has performed since Dautrieve's resignation. But, let's be real, team's have coaching STAFFS. It's not like they have absolutely no coaches at all on the sideline a la Varsity Blues.

It's WM...you know how we do...

Honest question, here...
Is Acadiana the team that had to forfeit 5 games but are really good?
If so that sucks for East St. Johns.

And ESJ not a top 5 team? What makes to think Acadiana will roll? They haven't beaten a team close to the talent of ESJ and the one team they played comparable to ESJ they got blasted.

No. I don't think that ESJ is a top-5 team. My opinion obviously.
