quote:Shaw has a franchise running back of their own, Lawrence Braud. He was ripping off five yards per carry.
I don't understand how a player rushes for 2000 yards and the team loses 3 games? One to a 4-6 Shaw team?
A less than stellar passing game has hurt the Crusaders a bit, as well. Even the slightest bit of consistency from the QB himself, and his receivers when he does hit them, and we're 9-1.
Shaw had active linebackers, and seemed to have Butler's number all night. He only ran for like 175 yards against the Eagles.
Lost by 6 to Walker
Lost 21-14 to both Shaw and St. Augustine.
Was driving for the win in all three contests.

IDK. The game was sandwiched between St Aug and Jesuit. They just came out flat that game. They should have beaten OP Walker also.
ETA: See above also.

Capitol had them beat last year, but went for 2 at the end and didnt make it, when they could have kicked the XP to send it into OT.
Dont be suprised if Capitol comes out with a win.

Over 200 yards for sure for Dante.
He has not commited anywhere yet. Has interest from Tulane, western kentucky, niu, and one other school if I'm not mistaken.
ETA: Miami OH is the other school

I hope you are right but what makes you think white will take it. We played Marksville this year and they run the notre dame box and very big lineman.
Posted on 11/16/10 at 2:29 pm to PANTHER
i hope im wrong actually. id like to see marksville go through.

They're real good. Very good chance of winning 4A. Spread offense, odd stack defense. Good luck.

You don't think losing their QB, RB, and best player out in the 1st quarter affected their scoring?
The QB (monroe) played the entire game and the WR (Williams)got ejected in the 2nd after an Int, but he had 2 personal fouls against him before that incident where he punched an acadiana high player. If anything he was hurting his team more than helping.
quote:
Zachary has athletes all over the field and the offense which takes a few years to install is hitting its stride at the right time. Zachary runs alot like what STM runs. They have two solid running backs and two qbs that give different looks. The recieving corps is finally healed too. Zachary has used the last 4-5 games to heal up. Acadiana will have their hands full if they expect Zachary to just roll over like ESJ they flat out gave up and pulled the whining card about having to play acadiana in the first round. If anything Zachary will stand toe to toe with acadiana they played STM closer then acadiana with the Starting qb and top reciever hurt. Should be a good one but 21+ is jumping on the acadiana bandwagon.
What happened against central? I noticed zachary didn't score too much in that game, was the offense not in full stride? I think acadiana could very well win this game by alot more than 21 points. It just depends on if they are looking ahead to st pauls or not.

Ought to be a good offensive game. Leesville's offense is high powered, but their defense is, how you say, porous.

That sucks. Franklinton enjoys scoring plenty.

i could see him doing this, the whole team tried to run across midfield and taunt us when we played them. there were a good bit of late hits throughout the game too. they aren't most penalized for nothing lol.
but williams is their weapon, the offense revolved around him. he lines up at RB, QB, WR and is the frickin deep snapper on offense. he's their return man for punts/kicks and he's a DB. so that's a pretty big loss and probably just took all their momentum.

If I'm not mistaken Acadiana was up 21 when he was thrown out.

I'm from Franklinton. If you guys have a bad defense you will be in a lot of trouble. Franklinton will score 50 or 60 if you aren't pretty strong there.
