No way in hell does Atlanta lose to the Rams.

I'm just sayin. Atlanta is a better road team (or at least Matt Ryan posts a better QBR on the road).

I wouldn't take what Colin and RJ Bell said about the trenches in this game lightly.

The Saints were putting pressure on that line for Christ's sake.

Roddy White and Julio Jones both missed practice Wednesday. Even on Thursday they were skeptical about Jones and White admitted that his ankle sprain could affect him for longer than expected.

I'm not saying it's a lock by any means, but the Rams winning straight up wouldn't surprise me. At the least I will probably take the rams and the points.

What were Cowhead's blazing 5 this week?

Eta: never mind. I see them.

Hate a couple of his picks.

SVP gave his record. Rusillo didn't mention his.

I don't tail either of them.

SVP said it right at the start of the segment.

Have guys like SVP jumped the shark on trying their damnedest to fade the public?

Honestly, when he talks about it, it doesn't sound like he's too knowledgeable about it. Not that I'm an expert by any means, but it seems like he looks at just enough to have a "winners" segment on his show.

He's the "Sharps fade the public, so should I" guy. I'd be willing to bet, he doesn't do much research, but moreso just using basic info any of us would know off the top of our head.

I mean, if you fade the public, you have to do it across the board, and not just cherry picking one or two.

Cincy was the wrong side, I should have realized it with the RLM. We all liked Cincy from the get-go, but the line dropped from -10.5 to -7 and settled around -8.

Gross.

Chiefs are going to blow out Dallas. That will be a hostile environment on Sunday.

I can't even imagine how bad Oakland's record is ATS when they are favored by 3 or more at home.

It's easy for him to do it because he's not actually putting any money on it. You go against everybody and then if you're right you get to say how you knew what everyone else didn't. If he's wrong he just says "Yeah that was a massacre" and moves on.

I think the Oakland line is more of an indictment of how truly awful Jacksonville is.

Why is it so god damn hard to find any decent books or articles on sports betting?

What the frick. I just spent the last hour scouring dozens of sites.

What are you looking for? Handicapping tips?

The problem is that when someone does well and releases their how-to, Vegas adjusts.

Not really looking for tips, I'm looking for how to create my own system.

For instance, if I was going to become extremely good at poker, there are multiple ways for me to learn about poker theory. I haven't found one recourse yet for sports betting.

Two books I've purchased that are pretty helpful and interesting.

ETA: Just noticed your "creating your own system" comment. Not sure if these books can give you direct ways to do that.

Luck.

I was dicking around one day, and I thought of an idea and started hammering away. I think I have finally tweaked it to where I can hit 58% +/- 2% every year in combined NFL & CFB out of 220 games.

..or a range of 124-96 to 132-88: +1840 to +3520 for the $100 bettor.

It's basically automated now with the picks. I drop in my data every week and my excel spreadsheet uses T/F and boolean logic to say YES or NO as far as whether I should bet a game.

Any possibility I could snag that excel file from you? Not to use myself, just to see how you put everything together.
