I'm liking this line too H-Town. On sportsbook it's at 13.5, thinking I'll buy the half point and take Wash St at +14. Don't know too much about BYU except they've gone independent and they're returning a good bit of talent on defense

Lots of good info so far in this thread. Glad the season is so close...just wanted to throw my .02 in.
Nothing groundbreaking here but I'm thinking about Michigan State -7 over Boise as my biggest play of the week. Spartys solid D at home on a Friday night and Boise just got decimated on Defense and will be starting a new QB on the road. Gotta go Sparty on this one
I like Bama -12.5. Too athletic on defense for shoelaces and co. I could see Michigan keeping it close for a quarter or maybe a half until Bama remembers that its Bama, locks down on defense, and pulls away late.
USC -39. They're out to prove a point from jump street. I could see them running it up in this one. Barkley, Woods, and Lee will be too much
Also like Louisville- 13.5 vs UK. Haven't researched this one too much but I'm pretty sure UK is awful and UL is favored in the Big East this year. Like I said, still more homework to do one this one but I'll probably end up playing it
I will probably stay away from West Virginia/ Marshall (looks like a sucker bet) and Tenn/ NC State (too inconsistent last year to figure out just yet)

Im really starting to lean UF and Wisconsin ( if the line is close to what im thinking and reading its gonna be) to add to the ticket. big lines but after looking at it Im thinking they are smart plays, especially if you are teaser happy

Large spreads on week 1 typically hit more than usual, thats why I'm not afraid to take some heavy favorites. Really like UF

also normally pretty big SEC promoter but I really think Clemson is going to cover Aub pretty easily
Clemson has a strong offense returning and aub will still be rebuilding IMO this year. not a very good QB and just dont think they will be much better than they were last year.
think this game could go high scoring as well.
