I picked this one but probably only Big upset I picked. ND State disappointed me.

I now know a 9 beating an 8 is a "big upset". Thanks, Joe.

ETA: Unless, you were saying ND St was, but you worded your statement weird.

I guess more of an upset because of the name factor. The MAAC sucked this year and esp with our local St Peters College up the street from me. Getting a team into the 2nd round for them is something. I know a 9 vs 8 isn't really an upset but most people in the NY area had Ohio Sttae moving on. Wake disappointed me as did BC. I also picked ND Sate and have no idea why.

By the way Pitt looked like crap today.

No, it's a football state. Anyone that tells you otherwise is a liar. Yeah, there are a share of fans who pay close attention to OSU bball. Not even close to football though.

Sad, but true.
I'm always affraid Matta's going to take off for greener pastures. He's a great coach and deserves a team with a better fan base.
I can't remember what announcers were saying it, but earlier this season...
"This Ohio State crowd has often been a wine and cheese crowd, just sitting back and waiting for football to start back up."

Still though, I hope he sticks around as long as possible.

Siena had a pretty good year as did Niagara. They will both be as good, if not better, next season.

St. Pete's had their problems, but won some games.

Iona, well with Kevin Willard (former Petino assistant) taking over 2 seasons ago, is probably a couple of years away from getting back to the NCAAs. But the Gaels showed signs of real progress over the last 2 seasons and had ths year's rookie of the year in the MAAC in guard, Scott Machado. They played better in the early part of the season this year with a 1 point loss to Wisconsin in OT and a 20 point win over Valpo.

Siena made it to the 2nd round last year with a 22 point win over Vandy. They got beat by Villanova in the 2nd round and I expect Louisville to hand them their 2nd round loss this year.

While I am an LSU fan now, my heart is always with the "little guys" to pull the upset. I do not believe that Siena's win last night (this morning) was an upset.
