This Russian team will be hard to beat, even the Canadians will have trouble with them.

I just hope the final seedings work out so that Russia and Canada meet in the semis, and that we're on the other side of the bracket. I think a win Sunday will make that happen.

Watching Iginla play with a competent winger makes me cry. This is how awesome Jarome is - he started the game on the third line. By the end of the game, he was centering the top line (out of position) and scored a hat trick. That was depressing. Nash also looked stunned to have someone who could do something with his passes.

Sweden hasn't played yet, but watch for their center depth. I think Zetterburg is on the THIRD line. They are insanely deep up the middle, which will mean a lot against a good team.

And Russia is too pass happy right now. They are so awesome offensively, but Ovie actually needs to be more selfish. And Kovy should never, ever pass if he has a look at the goal. He's a pure sniper.

My MSNBC had Keith Olbermann yelling at me. USA has a dog show. CNBC doesn't even have curling. It's just a curling announcer talking.

couldn't even find the russian game..heck even Canada

I watched Nash set a really good screen in front of the Norwegian goalie on Iginla's first goal and thought "why doesn't he do that for the Jackets? He's 6'4", 220."

Then I remembered... he's the only one on the CBJ who can score.

Well, not a good result for the US this afternoon. Finland beat Belarus (the probable 3rd place team in their group) 5-1, which mean the US is 2 behind in goal differential among the likely 2nd-place teams (Only one 2nd-place team gets a bye to the quarterfinals).

REALLY need to beat the Canucks Sunday.
