I really think there’s too much football. 13th match since the beginning of December. You can’t play a midweek match every week for the entire season. Whole lineup looks listless and fatigued. Rest everyone against Milan. Send a message!

Just another part of college football that the E$PN corporate monolith has taken a wrecking ball to. Bowls used to be special. There weren’t very many so it was a big deal to be invited. They were named exclusively for local commodities (Rose, Sugar, Cotton, Orange, Peach) and in desirable warm weather destinations where cities were glad to have the extra tourism boost at the traditionally low holiday season. And it was the only time of the year when you would match up against teams from other conferences for bragging rights.
Now, after E$PN and their corporate money got a hold of it, they expanded it to the point that we have the SnoopDoggPopTartsWasabi Bowl in such exotic locales as Boise and Detroit, with half the roster opting out because they’ve already transferred and the few stars are resting up for the combine! The dozen or so teams that declined bids this year is just the first crack in the dam. The whole shitshow of mega-conference, NIL, transfer portal, opt-out “college” football that E$PN alone has created will all come crumbling down. They have completely destroyed one of the greatest sports ever in pursuit of the almighty dollar!

If conference championship games don’t matter, then why did OSU drop from #1? You PLAYED, you LOST (badly in Bama’s case) you should DROP!
3-loss ‘Bama in is a joke. They got blown out by a 7-loss FSU team. They lost at home to OU. They split a series with Georgia but looked like trash the last two months. They should be left out by the same standard that got them in over undefeated FSU a few years ago.

Up to eight teams now. LINK which means no Birmingham Bowl yet. And good for all of them. It’s the only way to fix this corrupt system where E$PN determines all the matchups based on ratings and not who actually deserves to be there. The Bama Mulligan is back, the same one that cost us the ‘11 title when we should have played Okie State.
Glad teams are finally standing up and hitting the corrupt monopoly where it hurts by denying them content. Maybe E$PN can go back to televising the Australian Football League!
