there are probably three in each conference. denver would have beaten them nearly as badly as LA did in the finals IMO. the nuggets would have had some nice matchups in that series

you're making just as large an assumption as i am, really much larger to any knowledgeable NBA fan, by stating that the magic will be the best team next season. you're also ASSUMING that the lakers will lose odom. you're not the sharpest knife in the drawer, are you?

I am talking about an opinion about what will happen in the future, you are talking about "what if's" that definitely did not happen in the past and using that as proof that the Magic are not the best team.

Obviously, it is speculation, but I am not rewritting history to prove my point.

That's kind of like saying "What did the bird lose besides some wings?"

and isn't that offset by Vince?

No, not at all IMO.

Watch what I say, the Magic WILL NOT be there next year. They will crumble early in the playoffs.

As for Odom, he has not signed with the Lakers. If he does then he will be on the Lakers, I bet he ends up with the Heat, but I have no proof of that.

miami doesn't have the money to sign Odom except for the MLE which is about 1/2 of what he wants

I'll take that bet. I'll even pay 10 to 1.

The Hornets should trade for that 3rd string center, A. Foyle!

Magic are the front runners in the east IMO. They They have actually gotten better this offseason. Hedo is gone but you now have Barnes who is a good defender and RAndy who could potentially fill Hedo's shoes. Also getting VC and Bass ain't too shabby either. If that offense can mesh, they are gonna be scary

not at all. I think they are a very strong team. And they haven't invested in old fricks to try and get a championship ala Cavs and Celtics

lebron will dominate the league next season at a level none of us have ever seen. he's improved dramatically every offseason by refining various elements of his game. this offseason he's working extensively with a shooting coach. if he develops a consistent midrange game he'll be unreal. if he develops a consistent midrange game AND a nice post game he'll destroy everyone

Best team in the league is the Los Angeles Lakers.

The Magic are the team to beat in the East, but other teams have improved. The Celtics got Rasheed and the Cavs got Shaq, who is an upgrade over all their post players they stuck on Howard in the ECF.

Ghazi, how did you stay away from this thread and say so little, I thought you would have ripped this guy.

but what about the pieces around him? Shaq is a great pickup and Moon is an slashing 2/3 which is something they really needed. But the Magic are are fricking stacked now

Magic aren't the team to beat in the East, they had a nice little fluke run last year but big fricking deal. They were a 2nd round exit if KG wasn't hurt.

No team w/ Dwight Howard as its best player will strike fear in the hearts of the league.

On paper it's the Celtics, and the Cavs are probably better than the Magic too.

Anyway all of this doesn't matter since the Mavs are a center away from winning a championship, and shall acquire said center.

You should get Gortat. Ooops. Well at least you still have Bass...err Dampier. fricking loser. Your still chapped you got punked by the Magic. Have fun fighting for the 6th spot with a younger better Houston team that will have Gortat come December.

watch out for the wizards in the SE division this year.
no doubt. If healthy, this will be the best Wizards team since the 70's. Blatche needs to step it up this year though. They might be the most exciting team to watch in the league. They definitely can challenge anyone (on paper) if they can stay healthy.
