Yeah, agreed. they had much more offensive talent.

In any case, regardless of the lack of "style points", coming out of the Shoe with a win at night is impressive IMO.

1 loss Oklahoma over 0 loss PSU would be an absolute travesty, and I doubt it's even possible.

OU didn't play any non FBS teams, which might matter in the computers. OU also still plays TT and Okie State which will improve their computer score.

It doesn't even have to be OU, it could be UGA or UF that sneaks in front of PSU in the computers

If neither Bama or Penn State make it to the N.C. game, I'd love to have a match up in the Sugar bowl with yall.

Penn St is the best team in the Big 10. The Big Ten sucks

Agreed. A tough loss to the defending national champions fricked them over. They had so many weapons that year.

They also lost to Penn State that year too who finished 11-1.

Entirely possible they were 4th best in nation.

USC played it worst game of the year, had Reggie's dumb arse lateralling the ball all over the place, and was still a foot and a 4th and 5 from icing that game against UT. OSU lost 2 games so I have no idea where you're getting this. PSU has a way better argument for being the second best

I distinctly remember pulling hard for Fresno State that year. They had a legitimate shot but sadly their defense decided Reggie Bush was overrated.

That was the game where he had like 550+ all-purpose yards or something like that

Defense sucked in that game, but offense was great. SC didn't make even close to the number of simply idiotic mistakes in that game that they made against Texas

OSU lost 1 to the national champ and 1 to a better team than what USC faced in the regular season, if memory serves

USC had an easy schedule that year and no real defense. OSU could have passed all over that shite

i'd fricking hope so

you were playing a team who went on to lose to la tech, and i believe they were blown out in that game

if they made like one big one, FSU would have won

Yet you nut yourself over Texas who needed a ridiculous comeback to beat that same SC team

Vince Young just flat-out owned USC in that game, and that's about all there is to it.

yeah UT, who shot themselves in the first almost the entire 1st quarter, and who had a pick robbed from them

why people forget that pick, i'll never know. USC also got unbelievable ball spots all night long in that game
