He played with the man for 11 years, you can’t do that without having some feelings at a time like this.
I stand by my comments … the evidence is out there in his comments over a 30-odd year period, not just in a recent book … that they had personal issues.
Hell, Willie Mays and Henry Aaron didn’t get along, neither did Joe DiMaggio and Mickey Mantle. Is what it is.
And people keep saying that “Hall of Fame voters are keeping him out.” HE HAS NEVER BEEN PRESENTED TO THE VOTERS FOR CONSIDERATION!
The HoF is not controlled by MLB. It’s not controlled by the writers. The fans don’t get a vote. It’s a private entity controlled by the Clark family of Cooperstown, New York. And the Clark family has ordained that no person on baseball’s permanently ineligible list can be considered for admission to their Hall of Fame. (It belongs to them, not anyone else.)

This is great news for Kamala Harris. After a lifetime of voting for Republicans, Pete Rose will finally be voting Democrat for the first time.
