So does Jeff Garcia, but it's not helping him.

If he fails to accumlate any more rings, then he doesn't get the title of "greatest ever."
A lot of people think Favre is the greatest ever, and he only has 1 ring. I think Peyton probably breaks most of Favre's records. Again, it will depend on your criteria.

is this really about to go into the "how many rings does he have debate?"

This reminds me of when they did those 'greatest athletes of the century' deals right around the millenium. Bo Jackson was in the top hand full on a lot of lists. Some people (including me) thought it wasn't right to put someone with such a short career at the top of a list like that. Personally, I think that some longevity and success (read > 1 championship) is pretty much required.

Not the best ever but indeed high on the list.

Yes he his. I am a Titans fan and hate the Colts. I still respect Peyton a lot. The only person who would be considered better right now is Brady, and take the super bowl out of the equation and ask yourself, who is the better quarterback? I think Peyton.

Despite the Titans connection, your opinion is suspect because you live in Tennessee, where everyone worships Peyton. Skill-wise, I think Peyton's pretty good, too, although it doesn't hurt that he's throwing to the likes of Marvin Harrison and Reggie Wayne. But he's got to be finished before I'll say how great he was.

I have to agree with that also. In watching the Colts and the Pats play Brady gets riled up and makes mistakes while Peyton remains calm and at the same time that Brady was yelling and making a fool of himself Peyton even in the last few seconds was trying to find a way to come back and win. If you put both QBs with equal offense's I think Peyton would prove he is much better than Brady is when it comes to total performance.

Peyton reads playbooks like fat people read menus.
When he retires he'll be the best player to have ever worn a helmet.
