Any sand on the golf course is a bunker? I would have punched that guy in the face. That's a PGA guy thinking he knows everything. Tour official doesn't call that.

anyway, my comments were regarding tournament play
Go walk outside the ropes at St. Andrews and tell me that there isn't some sandy areas. Please that was not a bunker. Put a fricking rake next to it so DJ can clean up his divot.

If that was a bunker, then where in the hell was rake?

I agree with the officials ruling. They warned them before the tournament started. But I can totally understand DJ confusion.
Incredible moment.

Yea, that there would be bunkers outside of the ropes. That was not a bunker outside of the ropes.

1/3 of where the gallery walks is considered a bunker. there aint enough rakes in the world to have em on all those bunkers.

Or why were people standing in it? There's really no reason to call it a bunker, other than officials saying it's a bunker

My uncle always taught me to be like Jack...if you never ground your club, you can never have a penalty called on you.
Maybe I'll listen now

"I think Bubba Watson's caddy was replaced for the weekend"
Yes. Ted Scott his regular caddy wife is having a baby. Ted is from (and lives) in Lafayette. Hope he still has a job next week

have you ever seen a rake in a bunker during a tour event??
Posted on 8/15/10 at 6:43 pm to medtiger
And as was stated earlier, brain fart on DJs part. If there is one iota of doubt, call the rules official that is with his group.

What the rules officials are saying is that an area on the course that has now turned into sand due to gallery traffic has now become a bunker??
So there could be grass there on day 1 and now its a trap on day 4?
Does the PGA really want to go this route of adding HAZARDS to a course over the 4 days of the tournament?? Wow.
