You’d be lucky to make triple of every hole at Augusta in these conditions. You’d also have several 15+

You guys are looking at the leader board and assuming every pro is that good every week. The leader board is the pro’s that are also having a great week.

Tons of guys don’t have a good week at the Masters

but overall I say the constant focus sets it above a curve.

No other sport or position needs constant focus?

You'd get just as crushed in your first PGA tour round too.

Many do not need near the amount of focus as golf. Golf is a game of millimeters. Many nba players or skill position football players kind of just show up and ball.

Right—golf needs mental toughness for sure but it’s obviously less physically demanding. Just about Any person with the means and desire could get really good. That can’t be said for other sports.

All the golf lovers in here that want to be pros and put their idols on such a high pedestal will tell you you’re wrong but this is absolutely right and they just don’t want to admit it.

“Get good” meaning scratch at your home course, sure. You’re still about 10 strokes from being a low level tour player at that point.

It’s not right, at all. “Good” golfers would be probably 100+ shots behind the winner at a tournament like the Masters or US Open over 4 days

And by good, I mean around scratch. A 10 handicap would be about 200 behind

"get really good" isn't remotely good enough to be a pro. Like what is the argument you and bigelo are trying to make with that comment? "really good" is a single digit handicap. And a single digit handicap is not on the same planet as even teh worst type of pro tour players.

Being a pro golfer is just as hard an accomplishment as being pro in any other sport. You and others are just ignorant

An average Joe can be made into a pro golfer with unlimited time and resources.

An average Joe can’t be made into a pro basketball player/football/baseball/etc.

This isn’t that hard lol

This is just idiotic. There’s a ton of content out there where people are doing this to get to just scratch, which would be like being a good player in an LA Fitness pickup game.

You have to be trolling
