TV gives it zero justice.
NFL at field level is insane.

Are you trying to convince yourself? People know how to read, you know that right?

We may not always agree , but our debates aren’t taking stabs at each other. He tries(and fails) to get a rise out of people.

Because you and I are discussing something looking for other perspectives or maybe a reason that something happened. That guy is some geek who doesn’t know what he’s saying but watches bro debates and thinks he can out argue people. He’s not looking for the truth or looking to learn anything.

I’m not taking stand at anyone. I’m simply laughing at the absurd reality that sole people think Lawrence Taylor and Brett Favre didn’t understand football lol

So lying about someone isn’t taking a stab at them? This is the problem, you’re so dishonest the discussion can’t go anywhere.

Well to be fair, Taylor was a freak athlete but was not that smart. Favre was pretty smart and got away with his gunslinging mentality. But played the game like it was supposed to be. He had fun. He’ll Dexter Manley didn’t even know how to read while playing all pro football back in the 80’s. Do some research.

So does all of that mean that he did or didn’t understand football?

Ok. Does not being able to read mean that you don’t understand football?
I’m not sure why this has become so hard for some of you.
I didn’t say anywhere that these people were smart. Why are you trying to argue whether or not they are smart?

I have played golf with average Joes for 30 years. Some of them have taken years of lessons, pounded balls on the range 3-5 days a week, bought the latest and greatest equipment every year…. all in a quest to become a low handicap (scratch to +4.)Most have failed and are just really good golfers who can occasionally shoot par.
Most professional athletes and former ,especially MLB and NBA players , play a lot of golf. Put a lot of time into it, both practice and on the course. Michael Jordan, Stephen Curry, Tom Glavine, John Smoltz, Greg Maddux are all beyond just recreational golfers. They are avid golfers. Most of who would love to be good enough to play on the PGA or Champions Tour after they retired from their sport. None of those guy are anywhere close enough to be on tour. That includes the Champions Senior Tour. Your average club pro vs a lower ranked PGA tour player is comparable to that Club Pro vs a 20 handicap. That’s lower ranked players outside the top 200. The Top 10 PGA players would be like the difference between a Club Pro and a 30 handicap.
Anyone who thinks an average Joe can just become a scratch golfer with a lot of practice and playing, much less elite, is an idiot.

I had a friend a few years back tell me that you had to have a genius level IQ to play QB in the NFL. I asked him do you think Mike Vick is a genius and without hesitation he dead pan answers me “yes.” People who never played sports just don’t understand certain things about sports so they project what they think must be the reasons for those things.

Again, why are you arguing about whether they are smart or not? I didn’t say anything about them being smart.

Correct, someone in my immediate family was a college golfer. They won 2 conf titles, he was the A guy one year and the B guy the other. He’s unreal but compared to tour pros it doesn’t even look like they’re playing the same sport.
