re: Finding a toilet when you think you can’t make it…
Posted by Dirk Dawgler on 3/4/26 at 4:25 pm to Wildcat98USA
I have taken shits off the side of the road in the woods. Behind a rural church. Behind dumpsters at convenience stores. In buckets on boats. On the shoulder of a backroad. And many other undignified places. Don’t even care. Actually have shite in my pants driving trying to get home and I will never do that again. I can fight it about 5 minutes and if I am even slightly questioning whether I can find a facility before there is no going back, I will make a spot wherever I might be.

That demon got to Tucker and dipped a demon toe in his brain. Now it has taken over and possessed Tuckers mind and filled it full of crazy shite.

Or we bought a boom box with a cassette player that had a record button. Waited for how long it took for a song like Don’t Bring Me Down by ELO to come on the radio and hit the button at the first recognizable note.
For concert tickets, we went to Turtles. Sometimes getting there in the wee hours of the morning to get a decent spot in line outside the door.

Vacationing on Greater Exuma right now. What a wonderful thing to wake up to. TD will be great beach reading material as I drink cold beers on the beach for 4-5 hours!

I grew up watching Falcons Crest. Mom loved that show. So yes, you could say I am into Falconry.
re: Everyone Hates Data Centers it is almost universal

I track metro Atlanta data center construction as part of my Business Development job. There have been about 90 DC projects in metro over the last 6 years. QTS is currently building out a mega campus on the Southside. Sixteen separate DC buildings that average about 300k sf per. That is one campus. Switch is building one in Cartersville about the same size. DC developers currently building in Atlanta include:
Microsoft
AWS (Amazon Web Services)
Meta
DC Blox
T5 Data Centers
Google
Switch
QTS
DataBank
Edgeconnex
Stream DC
Every one of those have 1 or more campuses with current construction. AWS has two huge campuses being developed. One in Covington and one about to start in Douglasville.
Microsoft is about to start its 3rd campus in East Point.
Atlanta metro has an absurd amount of DCs.

I taught my son when he was 10. I helped him during out first 2 games and ended the games before putting him in check mate. The 3rd time, he had me in check a few times and I couldn’t recover. He beat me legitimately. He is now 20 and I have never beat him. I am not terrible at it, average I would say, but he is just real good and methodical. Sees the board 4 and 5 moves ahead and I am only good for about 3.

I was 9. Was always wondering when the nukes would drop. I thought every plane that I heard flying overhead and out of sight might be a missle. Soviets were the boogeymen. I watched that game and can’t recall a time since that I was so proud, happy, elated, etc..
I wasn’t even a hockey fan but it was America vs. The Soviet Union and I kept hearing we had no chance. I remember the last 10 minutes of that game being anxiety and rapid heart rate for me. Just hold on! Just hold on! I will never forget the final seconds. The crowd chanting, the flags, Michael’s forever call with 6 seconds left.

Wokeness. The word Squaw is apparently offensive to the left. So he avoided saying it. Pretty dumb isn’t it?
re: Toddler Killed w/ Dad's Gun - Sobering Story in Atlanta

Same here. I keep one of my 9mms under my car seat with one mag loaded. Leave it unchambered because I feel like I can rack quickly enough if I ever were to need to. All of my guns are loose in the house whether in drawers, the closet , etc.. Never have used a safe.
All of my kids are grown now but knew not to touch my guns. I made them scared to touch a gun until I was ready to teach them proper handling. My two oldest daughters never held a pistol or shotgun until they were 16. My son was 12. He became a competitive shotgun shooter and still does that at age 20. He has kept a .40 cal pistol in his upper closet since he was 17 and was prepared to defend my wife and daughters at home if ever needed.
Hell, a tragic accident occurs, and one person is talking about donating his firearms and another who has previously exposed himself as a progressive minded weak dad is lecturing that you are afraid of your own shadow if you have a gun with you outside your home.
The father in the OP made a mistake I never made. Never was a gun accessible to my kids when they were little. But also never locked away where they weren’t immediately accessible to me or my wife.

Back in 94, they came to Athens and played at the Georgia Theatre. I worked there and had been a big fan of theirs for a couple of years so it was prob the concert that I was ever the most excited for the band. I volunteered to go in around 5:00 pm and help get the venue ready. It was me and 2 other guys there when their bus rolled in. I opened the side door at side stage to let them start unloading their gear and got to talk to Art Neville and the rest of the band and give them a quick tour of the venue and take them to the backstage room where they would be leading up to the show. Watched their set get put together , sound check, etc..Still my best memory from any concert I worked there and that includes the DMB show where they filmed the Ants Marching live video.
re: Marco Rubio = the next POTUS?
Posted by Dirk Dawgler on 2/17/26 at 10:52 pm to FLTech
I don’t want to waste Vance’s window. I would like to see Rubio serve as SOS again for Vance for 8 years and then be President.
I just don’t see Vance being as popular in 2032 or 2036 as he will be in 2028. Rubio will be legend as SOS if he serves there the next 10 years. Arguably the best SOS ever. Both guys should serve as President over the next 12+ years.

Big win. We manage to pull some games out despite having players with severe lack of body control at moments in every game. If we can win like that imagine what we could be if we could cut in half the moments of spazzing out! I’m just going to keep enjoying their craziness!

That’s the thing. Rio Carnival floats have waterfalls. They use pumps and recycle the water for the effect. NO has sparklers and beads and trashy shite.
