The administration seems to be content with 10 wins and a trip to the Capital One/Outback Bowl. CMR will leave on his own terms...I don't like but it is what it is

As far as decline I don't see it at all. We have made 2 SECCG in 3 years, nothing to show for it but that is par for the course these days...I would actually argue that we have plateaued under him.

This post could easily be about Miles too.

LSU has been the most consistent top program since 2001.

LSU has been the most inconsistent program in the history of CFB considering its resources and lack of instate competition.

It is so crazy to think of them all being down at one time... Crazy.

Not calling your thought process crazy, just the possibility of it happening. And I also see it happening, or at least a chance. They are all traditional power houses in a sense.

It's Louisiana not Texas!

We have lean years, not to mention a coaching tree who has connections all over the state.

LA hasn't produced a legit D1 QB in several years until this cycle.

Who cares. UGA has been on a decline for a long time IMO. Georgia recruits some of the best athletes in the country and they haven't played in a BCS title game. Decline in a major way.

We were a tipped pass from winning the damn thing last year. How is that a major decline?

Oregon is definitely declining. Chip Kelly and paying off handlers got them to their heights, now even Phil Knight is jumping off the ship.

USC isn't declining. I feel like they've bottomed out. They'll be a 7-9 win team for a while but they won't get worse than that.

Stanford has a solid coach that isn't going anywhere. They might have a down year or two sprinkled here and there but they should be able to maintain a reasonable amount of excellence.

Georgia's not declining. They're in the same position they've been since Richt got there... second or third best team in the east with an occasional east title.

I have no idea if Florida is declining. They still have a pile of talent on their roster, it's just a question of what will Muschamp be able to do with it.

Programs I think are declining:

Iowa. Ferentz was never very good, recruiting classes were never very good, but somehow he managed to get wins. Luck seems to be running out.

TCU. Their success was built on Texas recruiting in a poor conference. Now that they're in a big boy conference they're being exposed.

That's not really a decline. That's programs who have always been mediocre or bad, and just had a flash of decency for a few years
