So, at best, Navy is an 11 Win Team.

College football is big on tradition. This game arguably has more tradition behind than any other. America loves it's military and respect what these athletes will be doing after they graduate instead of making millions of dollars to play a game.

He is not the sharpest knife in the drawer, huh?

Typical WAOM fan.

Army - Navy is like the Bayou Classic for whiteys. The game is the least important part of it.

Is that post supposed to make me angry? Because it's something I actually somewhat agree with

Legit question, but this game is the last vestige of what football was decades ago. True rivalry, non NFL athletes giving 100% playing for pride.

I enjoy watching this and the DII and DIII playoff games.

Thank you. It was just a question but you would have thought I cursed our military and said I supported communism with the way simpletons in this thread reacted.

It's a dead week novelty. Nothing more, nothing less. I don't get the gripe.

I honestly wasn't looking for any particular response. There were mature responses that aimed at explaining it. Then you had the morons come in throwing out insults instead of being an adult and engaging in the conversation.

These boards remind me of the Pearl Jam song "Given to Fly." Break free of the hive and they'll rip you apart.

Would you rather watch 3 hours of ice skating. Because if CBS wasn't televising this game that's probably what you would be watching.

Instead of questioning why it's being televised, why don't you sit back, have a cold one, and enjoy these outstanding young men playing for their teammates, their academy, and the service they represent.

I wasn't questioning why it was televised. Just why it carries so much clout. It enjoy watching it but it's not something I look forward to during the week.

Tradition. It's one of the few holdovers from a bygone era.
