Michigan’s previous 2 defensive coordinators- Jesse minter and Mike Macdonald- both became nfl HCs within 2 years of leaving UM

I don’t think he mailed it in, but he became stubborn. Zack Orr shouldn’t have been the defensive coordinator this season, and everyone knew it, but Harbaugh refused to make staff changes. It was time for Monken to go, too, and it sounds like Harbaugh wasn’t going to make that change, either.
