My proposed 28th amendment: Congress cannot pass new subsidies (for things such as childcare, education, healthcare, or housing) unless the legislation includes specific and actionable provisions that reduce the cost of the goods and services being subsidized, so as to prevent a situation where total costs are merely shifted onto the federal govt.
An example: under the 28th amendment, a democratic president and congress would not be allowed to pass enhanced childcare subsidies unless the legislation also includes sections that decrease the cost of childcare regulations or reduce barriers to entry into the industry.

The point is that if the labor force growth slows to a crawl, it reduces the need for high monthly jobs gains

The politically incorrect answer is that the military is a jobs program for rural boys who don’t have much of a future.
Studies have also found that poor kids out of high school join the military for medical insurance they otherwise wouldn’t have gotten working as min wage laborers. In rural areas where it is common for poor 17/18 year old boys to already be impregnating their girlfriends, medical benefits are an especially attractive job perk

Aka, the amount of jobs needed to keep pace with monthly growth in labor force is nearly 0.
A few factors as to why:
1) continuing mass retirement of baby boomers outpacing new labor force entry
2) illegal immigration, which for years was growing labor force entry by ~100k per month, is now at nearly zero.

Usually when a portal player (in any sport) doesn’t work out, you can go back and see that their previous schools had mixed feelings on them or their stats had some blemishes
