I think I would rather watch professional dunkers instead of some no name nba players compete

I think the dunk contest has been done for years. It got overhyped and now there is nothing left to do that hasn’t been done. Have a HORSE game and can have contests during reg season to see who makes it.

As for all star game they don’t try. Still select them and then let each AllStar pick one bench player to rep them in the game. Cannot have more than 15 starts and must meet bench minute minimums to qualify. Most of those bench guys would try hard.

They need to try something different

The elite players are scared to compete. They think if they lose , it will hurt their brand
I saw Liliard and Booker in the three point contest.

And Lillard took a shot at the stars who don't compete in his acceptance speech.

Allstar game(s) about to start and the attendance looks like a LSU men's basketball game. Costas voiceover intro comparing this to Kobe playing in the Olympics in '08. Silver is the NBA's grim reaper.

Uhh this is actually a good All Star Game. Would have loved to get Reggie Miller off of commentary

Yeah they're actually taking the games serious. If they could only do it for 4 full quarters. The mini-games just feel small time.
