Stanford. Check out the classes that Harbaugh has been putting together since he got there. He's recruiting really well and is a pretty good game day coach too.
Harbaugh is a really great coach. He was my first choice to replace Carroll at USC, but Garrett would never have hired him. Haden still might, some day. Unfortunately for Stanford, I have a feeling Harbaugh is probably not at his ultimate destination, job wise.

Washington. Of course I'm biased, but I think Sarkisian is turning things around. He landed a top-15 recruiting class last year and is set to land another top 15 class this year. A little momentum built this year with Locker as a senior, another great recruiting class next year, then $250+ million worth of a new stadium and facilities set to be done in 2013 and Washington could be on its way back to where it was for the 25 years prior to 2002.
I'm pretty unbiased. I've never rooted for Washington unless they were playing ucla. But they have always been a sleeping giant, ever since the Don James era. Sark might just be the guy to wake them up. He's made inroads back into recruiting Southern California, and that will likely continue for the next couple of years as kids who USC would normally get are put off by snactions (sic).

VT opened this year in the top 10, i wouldn't call them irrelevant.
but i would call them historically over rated, it will be interesting what happens once Beamer retires.

if ucf ever got into a bcs conference there is a lot of potential there

they had it a few years ago...they were ranked like 2 in the nation at one point...they get lots of JUCO players. It wouldn't surprise me if they caught FSU at some point...Tampa is a nicer place than Tally
Tampa is a nicer city and USF has a huge enrollment of 47,000+, but it's a commuter school with a large number of students being non-traditional (25+). The terrible facilities don't help either.
I would have to say Baylor.

Much moreso than USF, IMO.

it is like the 2nd biggest school in the country but they are trying to change that commuter image every year. But the campus is nothing special for a florida school

why has nobody put south alabama? they're in the middle between recruiting bases florida and NOLA, in a state with powerhouses on every level (Bama, Auburn, Troy, North Alabama).

I think it was until the Sarasota campus opened. The USF main campus is still in the top 10 as far as enrollment. UCF has about 54,000 now and UF is right at 50,000.

SMU. They have tons of rich boosters who will contribute more and more money to enhancing facilities as long as June Jones is the coach and keeps the team on the rise. Them winning 8 games last year alone was unbelievable.
The rich boosters is what got them in trouble last time...

Anyone say Memphis yet?
Memphis has as good of a shot as any other non-BCS team to be good. Look what they did with DeAngelo Williams. If they could lock down the Mid-South recruiting, they could have pretty good teams consistently.
A lot of people are excited to see what Larry Porter can do for the program!

I feel like if USCe gets a big name coach when Spurrier retires they could be a sleeping giant. Kinda like LSU was when Saban came in from East Lansing.
There is sooo much talent in that area and if they got a hot shot coach who could keep that talent at home they could def take the next step.
This is no disrespect to USCe, they got a great thing going in Columbia and already have several freshmen who will impact this year, including perhaps the best frosh in the nation. I just think SS might have hit his ceiling, but then again they have a good shot a challenging for the East this year.
