Simpson plays in the Leesville tournament starting tonight against Hornbeck. They play Hicks and Leesville Saturday.

Yea, Glenmora is going down to the Franklinton touney this coming up weekend. I watched them play on Monday and it was just glaring that they are really young and don't quite get it yet. There is talent there, but they have a good way to go. No dominant pitchers, but guys that can get the ball over the plate. The coach there will get them going.
PS: Franklinton has by far the nicest high school baseball field I ever played on, we went down to that tourney two years ago. Hopefully Glenmora doesn't play Franklinton because Terrence Magee will have a field day at the dish. He was a stud when we played them to a 3-2 game two years ago.

Seems that you all have alot of contacts with maurepas seen some of they scores they have been part of is there pitching that good down there

They got two guys that are pretty dominant for Class B. The Scivique kid might be the best player in the state.... Dominant pitcher and has 4 or 5 dingers already....

Maurepas 4 Covington 9 from yesterday.... Decent showing against a 5A team... Any other scores to note from around the state????

It could be. Hornbeck played a great game and kept Simpson off balance at the plate. Simpson only had two hits off of a pitcher who was not overpowering. Hornbeck beat Hicks in the game before that by 7. We will see them twice in district. Simpson plays Hicks and Leesville Saturday.
