I didnt realize there were this many dumbasses that would be upset about an mvp winner that led the league in scoring and wins

Here are your mvp winners and per leaders.. It happens quite frequently that they dont match
Out of those 7 years at the bottom MJ led the league he won 3 mvps and Magic won 3. The Lakers were a better team.

You guys missing that wins matter for the award need to study history.
Sure. Let's do that.
Jokic's season in recap:
-First player ever to average a 30-point triple-double on 50/40/80 shooting thresholds.
-First player in history with the combination of usage rate (~30%), assist percentage (>40%) and true shooting (>66%)
-First player in history to have a PER over 32 twice, Jordan and Lebron never did it once.
-Top 10 all time with a true shooting percentage over 66. Jordan and Lebron never did this.
-First player in NBA history to average close to a 30-point triple-double across 70+ games
-One of the highest on/off differential ranks in NBA history. ~+20 points that's insane.
-First person in NBA history with a TS% over 66 while average over 21ppg
Speaking of these are his season rankings:
Points Per Game (PPG): 29.6: 3rd
Rebounds Per Game (RPG): 12.7: 3rd
Assists Per Game (APG): 10.2: 2nd
Efficiency Rating (EFF): 42.4 1st
Steals Per Game (SPG): 1.8: Top 10
Box Plus/Minus (BPM): 13.72 : 1st in NBA history
Player Efficiency Rating (PER): 32: 1st
True Shooting Percentage (TS%): 66.3%: 5th
Triple-Doubles: 34: 1st
Conclusion: We just witnessed a once in a lifetime season.
Let's keep studying history together

The history of the mvp. Wins matter. MJ had several historical seasons where magic beat him because the Lakers had a better record

So, to be clear, you are saying SGA won because he was carried by his teammates, not because he was technically the most valuable player?

Wins are pretty valuable. Having game 7 at home may be what decides the championship.
He won it for leading his team to the best record in the league and the highest point differential in NBA history.
If they were gonna give it to someone for their teammates carrying them they woulda gave it to Lu Dort instead
Thats a joke. SGA had the 25th highest PER of all time.

Yet they were 5-1 in games he didn't play at all and their net rating INCREASED from 12.6 to 17.6 - almost 40% higher in games SGA didn't play.
Meanwhile the Nugget's net rating DECREASED 184.9% with him not playing.
You have a funny definition of "leading teams to wins"
Bruh, I can do this all day.

Cry more about SGA winning than even Jokic cares? Congrats

Yeah behind Jokic FIVE TIMES, where he sits #1 all-time and 21 places behind him this season alone.
You are flailing. This is pathetic.

You sound defeated. Are you ok? Need a team to carry you to a safe space?

The voters got it right.

Shai just knocked your best player out the playoffs and Jokic scored a whopping 3 pts in the 2nd half of game 7.

5 vs 1 and Jokic takes them to seven games. You see this as proof 1 > 1. I think we've clearly established you aren't very smart.

Might wanna check the box scores. Jokic deferred to Murray and Braun in game 7 so he definitely wasnt playing by himself.

Sounds like you don’t handle it too well when posters disagree with you.

This is great for killing time in the airport.
Seeing how many people can't comprehend that wins matter in terms of MVP voting does explain a lot of the dumb shite I witness in everyday life.

Shai outperformed Jokic in everything but rebounds, in fewer minutes. Case closed.

Easy to do when, like you said, he doesn't have to play as hard for as long being 5 v 1.

Damn he should get better at involving his teammates rather than trying to play 1v5. He had 4 other guys on the floor with him

Oh he did. His assist conversion rate dropped 100% from the regular season. Meaning his teammates were missing twice as many shots from his passes in the this series versus the regular season. Had his teammates just played their average, Jokic’s assists would have doubled and the Nuggets would have won the series in 6 games.
You lose. Again.
