Dont mess with that show
Don't mess with it? They messed with it by bringing him in. It was much better without him.

Chris Webber was on par with Shaq his first 2-4 years. He improved. Maybe Shaq will improve or maybe he won't. Shaq is not terrible where there needs to be a change made. Webber is better as a commentator and the occasional NBATV in studio role. The current setup with Shaq, Ernie, Kenny, and Barkley is the best of both worlds. A multiple time champion/superstar and one of the games best ever center, good lead man in Ernie, a role player in Kenny who won multiple championships playing with a superstar, and a superstar in Barkley who wasn't able to get a ring. Perfect mix imo.

Shaq made the show immature. It used to be quality basketball analysis with great humor from Barkley.
Now it's mostly teenage-esque bickering between Barkley and Shaq and while most of it is funny, the quality of basketball analysis has diminished severely.

I'm torn. I like seeing him on the show, but I recognize that he doesn't really add anything. If there was a slam dunk replacement I'd be all for it, but I'm not sure there is.

Shaq was much funnier when you only had to listen to him in short spurts in interviews.
