DC having a .750 OPS in 12 games against some terrible pitching is surprising to say the least

Teach your kids to bat lefty guys maybe one day they’ll get a bunch of unwarranted at bats like Tanner Reaves
You can literally pick any 17 day stretch during the season starting on a Fridays and it will be 11 games in 17 days

Definitely wouldn’t have bet on Milam and Curiel having a combined 0 HRs 11 games into the season against some relatively horrible pitching

I mean they wouldn’t be losing that if Guidry were added to the rotation. Whoever he replaces would shift into that role. Evans was elite in that spot last year, and Schmidt certainly has the stuff to dominate in shorter appearances as well.
That said, neither Evans nor Schmidt has done anything to lose their starting roles yet. Evans probably would’ve thrown up zero tonight with the normal outfield behind him, and Schmidt just had the best outing of his career last week.
Hopefully it ends up being a good problem to have. Would be nice if Noot or Cowan could step up into another multi inning bullpen guy.
