No, we've had a few outstanding years, but in this day and age, it's easier to get to the CFP from the AAC than B12/ACC. Your schedule no longer matters, so playing tougher competition really isn't important. There's no guarantee that giong to a bigger conference doesn't mean going 6-6 is a good year again. Screw that. Winning is so much more fun than saying you are in XYZ conference. Not to mention does anyone even think the B12 or ACC is going to be around in 10 years? Very iffy.
I promise you if you ask the players they would 100% rather play in Big12/ACC over the status quo.

SMU alum has the history of pouring money into the program when they can I'm not sure Tulane has that history
but given the size and the cities they're in there's no reason Tulane couldn't compete at the same level
But I am still of the opinion long term may struggle in the ACC
as uh will in the B12
