Sharks are dead

Penguins are gonna do it

Congrats to the pens. Good to see Hagelin get his name on a cup. Toronto will melt because of Kessel, and that's good for everyone.

Just wanna end it at home, finish them now.
That atmosphere is going to be incredible. Can't wait.

I had a slight bit of hope that the Sharks would even it up for more hockey, but the Penguins are just too aggressive and attack too well.

penguins have not trailed at any point during #StanleyCup Final (254:53). In fact, PIT has not trailed in its last 435:46 of playing time.

Yeah it's been impressive.
Seen a lot of people say that the Caps/Bolts would beat the Sharks.
I'm not sure about that, but I do think East > West this playoffs.
So many people took the Sharks, in this thread and media wise. I think most did so because they're in the West as much as anything else.
The Pens will have went through the 100 point Rangers beating King Henrik, the President Trophy winning Caps and Holtby, and the damn good Bolts who despite losing Bishop had a backup play his arse off and gave the Pens their biggest challenge of the postseason.
I would definitely say the East was stronger this postseason and the Pens had the tougher road.

Also, if the Pens finish this at home, last night will have been the last time you'll see the Pens in Vegas Gold. Thankfully.
Little sad, just because the whole Crosby era has been in that color. But not sad to see it go, never cared for it.

Well, at least Eric Fehr scored.
This has been over since the get go. The Pens have dominated this series throughout, and their getting contributions from guys you really wouldn't expect. The fact their defense has played this well is nothing short of a miracle.
I mean, the Pens have no players in the top 3 of playoff scoring and 1 in the top 6. They only have two players in the top 10 in goal scoring, and that's with the huge edge in games played. And despite that, they are second in goals/game and third goals allowed/game. A team with no depth on paper is winning due to their depth.
Rutherford is a fricking dark wizard. They should put his name on the Cup twice.

What uniforms are you switching too? Wish they would go back to the awesome '90s uniforms with the powder blue as an alternate.

Yeah I took the Sharks. I thought they'd be able to keep up. How often does a rookie goalkeeper win the cup?
I wouldn't say east>west though. kings are better than an AV coached Rangers squad. Nashville and the Caps had nearly identical records after the Johanssen trade, and I'd give the blues an edge over the bolts.
Regardless, congrats! I hate the penguins and am royally pissed off that Murray is that good, and that Kessel doesn't suck

The ones they're wearing in the playoffs will be their primary and they'll have a white version as well. Basically it'll be their early 90's set again

Pittsburgh has never won a Cup at home. The previous 3 all came on the road.

Burns goal was identical to Donskoi's OT winner.

Well, the Penguins are acting like they expected this to be easy. Gotta get more aggressive than that.
