No way should Plumlee make it over Cousins. That would be a joke. Not a bit of a favoritism there Coach K?

Plumlee over Cousins would be almost as bad as Brad Davis over Donovan

If you are going to take someone over Cousins, take Faried or Milsap, not Plumlee.

I really think it would be good for Cousins to be on a team like this though.

I'm surprised. Cousins probably got dumped for being a pouty bitch, can't see any other reason for Plumlee to go over him.

Not even going to argue, but if you don't think Coach K knows what he's doing, than that's your problem.

I think he knows exactly what he is doing

You know you want to see Plumlee shove his balls in some poor Lithuanian dudes face.

I want to see Cousins and Drummond dominate any team besides Spain down low. Maybe a team like China or someone like that

Yep this all makes perfect sense

Mason Plumlee put up the ol’ 0.0000000000% on FGAs from outside of the paint last season.

Like I can understand passing on Boogie, but to replace him with Mason fricking Plumee is the absurd part.

I promise this team won't ask him to take shots from any of those spots.

Then what happens when they run into 2 of the best rim protecters on the planet in Marc and Ibaka?

He was an okay rookie in a terrible draft class. DeMarcus Cousins is a top 5 center in the world.

I wonder if Boogie is playing that poorly in camp or if Plumlee is playing really well. You've got to think Boogie's attitude is coming into play somehow. But I definitely think there has to be more competent big men than Plumlee.

Plumlee's not playing big minutes; he'll be lucky if he sees 10 mpg. And he's there to play a role. Rolling to the rim in the pick and roll is probably the only thing Plumlee does better than Cousins, but that's all Coach K will ask for.

Right.

They're not asking their big men to hit a bunch of midrange shots (except for Davis). All they need to do is defend and rebound, which Plumlee can do. It's international play, they're going to be very perimeter oriented anyway.

And they have a guy at camp that is better at than Plumee named Kenneth Farried.

Plumee and Cousin's defensive numbers are pretty similar. Boogie owns him by a large margin in rebounding.

He's also a better ball handler, scorer, passer, back to the basket player, etc...

Some seem to think it could also have to with the fact he loathes Chris Paul.

They could very well take four bigs though.

Decent blog by Schuhmann hashing it out

Way to dispel that myth a-hole.
