I'll be pleased if Teheran gives up less than 5 jacks

frick yes

Lineup for that game since we have a split squad:

Bourn
Pastornicky
Diaz
Freeman
Ross
Bethancourt
Sutton
Hicks
Constanza

Teheran starting

Looking forward to seeing Pastornicky, Bethancourt, and Sutton. As well as Teheran. Hopefully he bounces back and has a nice few innings.

Yeah, I'm not going to feel comfortable with Pastornicky at SS. Not very fluid and doesn't have much of an arm.

Yeah, that Jeter play should have been a routine out. Constanza looking pretty ugly in LF as well.

That's why I raised hell in the offseason about it. There were guys out there that were perfect stop gap, affordable players i.e. Ronny Cedeno, Jeff Keppinger, etc. Why didn't we get one of those guys for cheap?

Yeah, I don't really have a problem going with him particularly, but you need to have a real SS as a backup if you go with Pastornicky, someone like Keppinger, not freaking Wilson.

Good little out pitch right there by Julio.

All in all, a pretty good inning for him. Defense just sucks.

Teheran is going to have a rough go at it this year if he doesn't learn to paint the corners with his heater

Nice recovery for him after the double. He really needs to develop an out pitch to be a top end starter at the MLB level.

Agreed, but he more than likely will at least be pitching half the year in AAA.

It's still early on in spring training, though.

His change definitely could be considered one I suppose, but I just haven't seen it the few times I've seen him pitch so far. He's really struggled putting MLB hitters away the 4-5 times I've seen him pitch, consistently running into long counts because of it.
