Played college golf bro.
Oh well that settles it, every college golfer averages 300 off the tee

Probably closer to 290-310 in BR
GTFO, so you are up there in tour average every year huh?

That rating and slope don't take into account 4 tee boxes which are on the course. 15 they have as 360 but there is a box which plays 430. 5 has a box that play 550. The rating is around 78 slope may be closer to 150 than 158 but based on the scores I see out there I am guessing g high rather than low

Thanks weave. Most guys don't believe good golfers exist unless the play on the PGA tour. I have a buddy who shoots about 75 and hits it well over 350. Also have a buddy who played in a US Open and averages around 69 on that course who no one has ever heard of

I believe you are a good golfer, I just have a hard time believing you average 310-330 off the tee is all

Ever played in the desert?

84 at TPC... with 2 double bogeys on 17 & 18
It is so dang hot, I often finish weak like that. at the 17th tee, "hey a par and bogey, I can break 90"...then finish with 92-93". Sad!

I hit it around 310-330 which still leaves some par 4s with between 190-230 yards home
Dude, for me that would be driver, 4 iron and full wedge to reach the green on a par 4. Obviously, they have regular and forward tees, whacking off 700+ yds, right?

I believe AZTiger. Plenty of good golfers carry in the 270-290 range, then get some roll out. I roll out to 250 max, but play with guys who generate good speed and consistently hit 280-290, even 300 on occasion, in the low altitude and heavy, thick humidity we have. He plays back more, so he can hit driver too. My question...why always play the tips? Of course, high level guys do...if not, they can rarely even hit driver on many layouts. I play up so the features of the course come into play for me, instead of struggling to literally reach fairways of the tees, etc. Plenty of good golfers hit 300 yds plus...they are not getting paid to play due to other subtle reasons.

Do you know a local pro...Bernie Eaton at Saddlebrook? He was married to a very close relative of mine. All is amicable!

Omg! That layout is unreal...crap in front of every tee, the tips are WAY back on 2, 5, etc...and the bunkers are strategically placed. I want to play it, try to break 95 (15-17 handicap), but the Copper tees look perfect.

Shot a 52 on 9 today keeping a legit score for the first time in months.
Had a great chance to break 50 legit for the first time but shot quad on number 8 and triple on 9.
Did have a par-par-bogey-par stretch which I'm damn proud of though.

And you should be. I can remember when I was trying to break in the 40s. I dont think I ever made more than 1-2 pars a round, much less 3 out of 4.

The name doesn't ring a bell in the pro at Saddlebrook. But ya the copper is what the majority of people play. We tip it out because it makes the course play how Nicklaus designed it to. It brings more fairway bunkers into play than playing the blues does

Have been struggling with consistency lately. Shooting anywhere from par to 5 or 6 over. Realized I was a little closed at set-up and my last two round have been rock solid 71-72 with 13 and 14 greens hit. I pretty much strictly play the ritz dove mountain and always tip it out. Need to get Weave and Beaver out here to play. See how the game stacks up here in te desert . 7900 yards 78.3 rating 158 slope!!!!
you sound like a guy I would have fun playing with AZ. 7900 is long

Brag yes. Embellish, no.
and he is right about the ball flying way farther in Arizona. I played 7 rounds one week two years ago in Scottsdale at various courses on an 8 man golf trip. My long drives were incredibly long out there. The desert ate my lunch though, you have to hit it straight or you are toast, but the ball absolutely flies forever there.

Teed off at 1 PM at LSU and played 36 in this hot as frick weather
It was a real test. Definitely grueling. I had to buy a new glove halfway through. I sweat through two gloves until they were crispy.
Greens were punched and top dressed but I still made a lot of putts. 31 putts in each round.
Shot 93 the first round. 94 in the second round, with a disaster second front 9 due to "mental fatigue" with a score of 51, then got it together and shot a 43 on the back. Parred #17, frick that hole
